As the state with the longest
history in Australia, it occupies 10 percent of
total area of the country and along the beautiful
beaches, vast tourist attractions are developed.
The capital of New South Wales, Sydney, proudly
proclaims the biggest commercial and tourist city
with a population of 4 million people. Sydney has
a distinctive harmony of old and modern and futuristic
cultural treasures. This beautiful harbour city
offers numerous tourist attractions like the infamous
Sydney Opera House, Harbour Bridge, and the Blue
Mountains. The Hunter Valley, about 200 m away from
Sydney produces more than 100 varieties of red wine
and some offer tourists free taste of their fine
wine. Currently, around 40,000 Koreans are living
in Sydney and to international students, this city
offers more job opportunities than any other cities
in Australia. However, the cost of living is slightly
higher, so extra living allowance is a must.

Victoria is a state with the
smallest area but highest population density. Victoria's
capital, Melbourne, was developed along the Yarra
River and is the second largest city in Australia.
It is famous for its wide roads surrounded by beautiful
tropical trees, garden-like parks, arts, fantastic
restaurants, and fashion. The whole city is developed
like a chess board, giving stable ambiance and is
the only city where a tram can be seen as public
transportation. Busy at night, cabarets, comedy
clubs, theaters, jazz clubs and night clubs can
be spotted easily. Melbourne hosts the Melbourne
Cup Horse Racing on the first Thursday of November.
Unlike Sydney, tourists can watch the Mardi Gras
parade from February to March. One interesting fact
is that this beautiful city has a very whimsical
weather where one can feel all four seasons one
day.

This third largest city exudes
tropical atmosphere with amazing white beaches along
the coast, beautiful northern islands, and fascinating
wildlife. Living up to its nickname, the last paradise
on earth, Brisbane is a melting pot of nature and
beauty. Around 30 km away from the coast, Brisbane
radiates lovely weather all year around except for
July and August. Recently, Brisbane ranked the second
in the most demanded study places next to Sydney.
However, it is important to note that the job opportunities
are rather limited. Tourist attractions include
Gold Coast (with theme parks, white beaches and
the caravan park), and Cairns which is one of the
world's ten most beautiful natural sceneries.
