The
student visa is for any student who is under any
language course or degree-related courses. The visa
is granted for the duration of study plus a month
after finishing the nominated course. If a student
decides to continue their study, he/she may choose
to extend their visas except in few circumstances.

1. All
overseas students are required to take health
coverage during their stay in Australia and it
is one of the requirements when applying for their
student visa. This can be done through school
with the payment for the tuition fees.
2. Duration of coverage can be for 3, 6, 9 up
to 12 months. Students can extend their health
coverage before the expiry dates.

3. Generally, schools do this on behalf of their
students, but students can choose to do it on
their own. Just visit the nearest Medibank Private
or their customer service centers. Submit the
application form for Medibank and the Medibank
card will be sent to the address after few weeks.
(note: students need to decide on the duration
of coverage plus they need to present a valid
passport and enrollment confirmation.)
