Of the two language centres of UNSW, the Randwick campus of the Institute of Languages is within easy reach of the main campus of the university and the city centre. It provides modern, comfortable classrooms and is fully equipped with audio-visual aids. There is also a computer laboratory with multimedia English language software as well as reference materials, access to the Internet and student access to e-mail. And in the Kensington campus, IELTS test and University preparation courses are offered.

¡¤ Cambridge Examination Preparation The FCE and CAE courses provide practice in all the necessary skills for success in the exam.
¡¤ English for Business Communication Training in business communication skills and developing wider ranging language skills in speaking, listening, reading and writing
¡¤ English for Hospitality & Tourism For 1 hour p/w students specialise in the language and skills required for the hospitality and tourism industries. This course includes relevant site visits.
¡¤ TOEIC Preparation For students who prepare for the Test of English for International Communications
¡¤ English and Translation/Interpreting Skills For students with advanced English who are considering a career in translation and/or interpreting between English and their native tongue
¡¤ English for Medical Professionals (EMP) To develop the skills required to function successfully in the workplace as practitioners, or as preparation for postgraduate study
¡¤ Introduction to Language Teaching For teachers or people planning to become teachers of English or any other language in their own countries
