Classical Performance
While undertaking a thorough program of
technical work, students will be expected to become
familiar with the stylistic and technical demands
of works from the Baroque, Classical, Romantic
and 20th-century periods. They will also establish
and develop analytical practice methods, physical
stamina, stylistic awareness, interpretive skills
and the ability to effectively communicate musical
concepts to an audience. All performers receive
a weekly individual lesson, a specialist master
class, concert practice and a performance studies
class to refine musical and technical skills to
the highest standards possible.
